On 15 October 2018 a four person Supreme Court jury unanimously vindicated Esther Rockett after a three year court battle against Universal Medicine cult leader, Serge Benhayon. Read about the court’s findings on the blog article: Benhayon v Rockett victory at last and the way forward.

Benhayon vs Rockett – Universal Medicine leader suing me for defamation

Serge Benhayon made a defamation claim against Esther in NSW Supreme Court Sydney in November 2015 and expanded the claim in September 2016. He claimed Esther damaged his reputation with one blog post and 18 tweets.

The trial of Benhayon v Rockett ran from 3 September to 15 October 2018. Esther won with defences upheld for all publications.

December 22 2016, two of Benhayon’s associates, UM psychologist Caroline Raphael and former Ballina Shire Council candidate, Ray Karam, filed a similar claim in Brisbane District Court, Queensland. Those proceedings were dismissed in December 2018.
